The Day After Tomorrow

Yeah it might be a bit extreme with the setting and stuff, but I think it’s really well done and offers a great story for the relationships they develop. It’s more about the people and how they react in extreme circumstances.

I've enjoyed most or all of Roland Emmerich's movies. They're all dumb fun but they are all filmed/presented in a way that's genuinely beautiful and there's usually just enough character and plot aside from the spectacle to keep me caring. I will never pretend they're high art, but they are to me what I feel Michael Bay wishes he could do but without any of the juvenile humour. (I like Bay's stuff, too).
