I’m guessing the next glimpse we’ll see of this title is the February Direct followed by (and I really hope this doesn’t happen) a dedicated Tears of the Kingdom Direct. For those who are complaining that these trailers aren’t showing enough, I’m in the opposite camp that’d rather just go into the experience as blind as possible.

I'm kind of torn on this. On one hand I agree with this, I want to go in as blind as possible. But on the other, I'm too eager to consume everything they would throw at me. I'm both complaining, and not complaining.

Absolutely.  It would be pretty hard to turn my eyes away from a dedicated Direct or a longer trailer.  As much as I hate spoilers, I scour YouTube and websites too much to claim that I'm absolutely against them.  I just hope that whatever is shown is curated well from the perspective that fans still want surprises.

But for many that are saying they just aren't hyped yet because too little has been shown, it might also be that you're just over this version of Zelda and that's fine as well. It isn't very common that we get two Zeldas back to back that use the same engine/graphical style.  It may have even been a misstep on the part of Nintendo to try to make this sequel.  But I have faith in Aunoma and his team that they are making something that will feel new all over again.  From the amount of time they have worked on this title it's obvious they didn't just rip some chucks out of the ground, suspend them in the sky and give you a few new abilities.  There are secrets to find, new systems to learn, new nooks and crannies to explore, and who knows what will replace korok seeds and shrines.  I don't want those answers yet.
