Thanks for all the responses, everyone. As we can see, there still are a ton of compelling franchises that could use a debut on the system, and I do believe that quite a few of these have a decent shot.
I went ahead and put up a poll with some of the more popular options as well as a few personal favorites since it's my poll. ;P
This is one of the reasons I want the Switch to stick around for just a few more years. Nintendo doesn't need these IPs to make or break the system. The Switch is S tier level of success already and has been for over a year. From this point on it's all gravy.
I have decided to leave 2D Mario off the list for a few reasons: one, it's a very popular IP and I wouldn't want it to take votes away from these lesser IPS, and two, we have already had Super Mario Maker 2, which kind of counts.
The IPs I'm most excited for are Pikmin, Excite Truck/Bots, Wario Land, and the criminally underused and misused IP, Chibi Robo. |
I am so ashamed! How could i? i completely forgot about Chibi Robo. :o I have atoned myself for my sin by immediately voting for it in the poll. |
I did a word search of this thread to see which titles were being listed and thought it pretty funny that you hadn't included it, even though you accounted for the word actually coming up in the thread. Let's just say I put my finger on the scale when I made the poll and included it anyway. Just saw an article in NintendoLife today saying the creator would like to make a sequel "when the time is right." Pardon me? The time was right when that image of a flaming Chibi Robo hit the internet 4 years ago. This IP has never been given the true opportunity it deserves. In a time when many gamers like to do chores in their games, it's really a no brainer.
