Used to play a lot when I was a teenager
KOF was my favorite, it has a sweet spot between nice combos and acessibility
Marvel vs Capcom was also incredible on PS1, but never played ever since
SNK vs Capcom (SVC Chaos) was great too
Street Fight was also cool, mainly the games on "Alpha series". I liked SF V, but I don't like having to purchase 80% of the cast
I've played only two guilty gears games (original and X) and both were great. Have heard great things about Strive, thinking on getting it
Have some memories about Soul Calibur, but never played much
I like Tekken 3, 4 and 5. Not really much 1 and 2, they were clunky (and very ugly to play, coming from Tekken 3 as my first one)
Mixed feelings about MK. It surely have good and iconic characters and some mechanics were nice (who never enjoyed finishing the opponent with a fatality?) but I've always found it to be overly violent even for a fighting game
Never Played Killer Instinct, neither Dead or Alive nor Virtua Fighter
Smash SUCKS big time, worst fighting game by far
