It is weird how I am the first to say 16 in the poll. 7 is somewhat of a known quantity. Sure, there are going to be story changes and all, but it is still a version of ff7. 16 is totally new. And nobody is hyped. That is very surprising.
Were the latest single player iterations of mainline ffs so controversial that people lost their trust in future projects? 13, 13/2, 13/3, 15 - I hated them all. But I have never played anything ff7 either. And I intend to buy ff7, once it is complete with all 3 parts. So even with my distrust in square's single player efforts taken into account, I have to go with what I will play in a year, not in 5 years. And something completely new has to be more exciting to me anyways. The 16-trailer looked promising to me.
