During the latest month, the gap grew in favor of the Switch by just 2,495 units when compared to the PS4 during the same timeframe. In the last 12 months, the Switch has outsold the PS4 by 4.60 million units. The Switch is currently ahead of the PS4 by 15.69 million units. The 63rd month on sale for the Nintendo Switch is May 2022, while for the PlayStation 4 it is January 2019. The Switch has sold 108.45 million units, while the PlayStation 4 sold 92.76 million units during the same timeframe. The PlayStation 4 did not reach current Switch sales until month 78 where it sold 109.27 million units. The PlayStation 4 has sold 116.90 million units through May 2022. The Nintendo Switch is currently 8.45 million units behind the lifetime sales of the PlayStation 4. |
Switch is now above PS4's last big holiday, it's pretty much just a matter of time now, and not a whole lot of time either, at the rate Switch is moving.
This has been a great race to watch, but the finish line is coming up fast.
