People looking to buy a PS5 of XboxX are not deciding to give up on that and buy a Switch. They are not really competitors in that same segment. People are buying Switches because they want 1) Nintendo games, 2) want a different version of Switch like OLED/Lite, 3) want a good portable console. You are devaluating the robust Switch library and system by saying it is just a last resort type of purchase. The fact it is doing so well and still at original price says a lot about it's value to mass consumers.
