Personally I find it hard to see PS5 doing only 100m with how insane demand and FOMO is for it, but I guess at this point we just can't know. A lot will depend on the chip situation and how long this generation lasts.

It's true that there is still some uncertainty that is inflated by the chip situation. Though you should keep in mind that around 100m would still be a really good result and put it right with the PS1 and Wii both big successes. Even if it has a modest decline it could still become the 6th best selling console of all time which is not a small feat.
