You didn't really think that, did you? It's a subscription service, like any streaming service or Game Pass you don't get to keep stuff. Lol. I've seen so many people being confused about this. Like how? Why would you get to keep that?

Well, there are subscription services where you keep some stuff:

  • XBL Gold is a subscription service and you keep the GwG Xbox360 games after the sub ends.
  • Humble Choice is a subscription service and you keep all the unlocked PC games after the sub ends.
  • Amazon prime is a subscription service and you keep all the unlocked PC games after the sub ends.

But I doubt that Nintendo is that generous.

Those companies wouldn't be "generous" if it didn't require giving out freebies to get consumer's business. Nintendo doesn't need to, or at least doesn't feel it needs to do that to get consumer's business.

If they value their games more, consumers will value them more and be willing to pay more. If other companies value their games less, then consumers will expect to pay less or get freebies sometimes. Other companies have set that expectation to their own detriment.
