Activision studios used to have a lot more freedom, before all being relegated to be CoD/Warzone support studios. Maybe CoD won't need to release every year. As concerning as consolidation is, overall if this happens then I'd say it as a positive for the gaming industry. Kotick will leave too, which is also great for the industry.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of massive acquisitions but MS picking up Activision will probably be far better for their output. I haven't been interested in them since the early 360/PS3 Day's.
