The Force Awakens used to be extremely loved once. I remember when it was first released and every sould that watched it rated it as good sequel (unlike the prequel trilogy that was HATED). I remember that I liked, but never felt it was a sequel rather a remake of the first movie looking at how unoriginal was everything about it, but we can't say it wasn't a loved movie seeing how much it earned in box office and how much it sold DVD/BD
Then came the Last Jedi, which is the best Star Wars movie, and people started hating the sequel trilogy as a whole and surprisingly the prequel trilogy started to be less hated, even appreciated to some extent while the opinion from the Force Awakens came from overwhelmingly positive to mixed-to-positive
