it's not a remake, its a port.

 

Today Square Enix announced that Chrono Trigger DS will be releasing in North America this Holiday season. This remake is 2D, and will include new dungeons and wireless play.

Really? I read that it was port, now I'm even more hyped than before. Although, now I am a little worried like Picko, SE better not mess this up.

 

 

The "straight port" talk was a hopeful rumor started by a PSP fanboy on kotaku who was later heard to say, "I hate chrono trigger anyway, FFVI is better, DS sucks."

Soon after, he claimed he was an immortal(A highlander type immortal to be precise) with connections within the Japanese gaming industry.

If you wanna know what I think, and you might not....I'd trust the press released.

 

This is the ONLY game that could have been released on the DS that Sony and PSP fans know it's not ok to attack. The current backlash by them, against the games is, "It'll suck because it should have been on PS3 or 360."
