Nintendo first console? , also Sega created their first console Sg - 1000 in july 15 1983 and MSX came in october 1983 Microsoft first console while famicom was 1983 aswell , 1983 I wasn't even born yet. |
| SegaHeart said: What the ? Hideo kojima first game ever Metal gear solid was first created on Microsoft first console MSX2 in 1987 I didn't know that? I have many questions? Why did Microsoft abadonned their MSX consoles? Also Why is Microsoft ignoring the MSX exsistance? and say Xbox was their first console ? MSX sold 7 million in japan alone it outsold N64 in Japan and xbox 360 and Xbox original and Xbox One combined all in japan? Maybe Microsoft should call the Xbox in japan MSX3? |
Gaming is more than just console gaming.
C64 wasn't a home console but a home computer. MSX wasn't a home console but a home computer architecture.
There were MSX-computers from many different manufacurers, including Sony. Just like there were and are many PCs from different manufacturers running MS-DOS or Windows.
So Microsoft ain't ignoring the MSX existence by saying that Xbox was their first console.
Microsoft has developed and published a lot of games before they entered console space, f. e.
- Microsoft Adventure (1979)
- Olympic Decathlon (1980)
- Microsoft Flight Simulator series (since 1982)
- Solitaire (1990)
- Minesweeper (1992)
- Microsoft Golf / Links series (since 1992)
- Age of Empires series (since 1997)
- Microsoft Pinball Arcade (1998)
- Midtown Madness (1999)
