The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III (PS4)

I've talked about this series plenty of times in the past, and considering there are still four games from it coming up later on my list, I'm not really sure what I can talk about here. This is the (obviously) the third game in the Erebonia-arc of the storyline, and the overall 6th game in the storyline that started with the first Trails in the Sky. Weirdly, I've had a really difficult time putting the Trails of Cold Steel games in any specific order, because they are all so closely intertwined with each other in terms of story and characters, to the point that it's easier to just think of them as a single entity.
I've ranked this one the lowest out of the Cold Steel games on my list, mainly because the second game finished the initial story arc and this one introduced a number of new characters that had to be established too, so the story took a little while to really build and take hold. It's still an excellent game, and even though I've only had the game for less than two years I've already played through it twice. It's now been roughly six years since I played my first Trails game, and it that time the series has taken its place among my all-time favourite video game franchises, really only behind Dark Souls and Final Fantasy.
