So it looks like I was right.

We test almost every physical release across modern platforms without internet from disc or cart, almost 80%+ are perfect without even day one patches, some have additions and very very rare do games NEED updates to work outside of Xbox

So stop misinforming, this isn’t the status quo.

Far from it, I can see why @dark1x gets fed up of having to inform people of this simple thing. PlayStation Discs almost never require the internet to play and neither do switch carts

Nearly all PS and SW games play without Internet connection. It should say on the box if Internet is required, if not, the publisher is violating law in many countries. Also PS uses BDXL with 100GB capacity.

This seems to be an Xbox problem/DRM.
