RIP. Amazing systems, and a fantastic legacy for a creator. The Famicom/NES had a remarkable 2 decades long lifespan (release 7/15/1983 - discontinued 9/25/2003). The fact that the NES Classic had to be brought back into production in 2018, after already selling millions from its 2016 release through 2017 discontinuation, shows how beloved the system still is to this day. As a collector, I've been building up my NES CIB collection recently, and it's amazing to look back at how many revered franchises originated or made their console debut on the system.
