Turn based combat with motion controls? Good luck with that.
Going to make it mandatory GC/Classic controller to solve that? Then what is the point?

Going to change the combat system while your at it so it suits motion controls? Good luck with the huge backlash from the extremely loyal FF VI fanbase.

Touch controls are one thing, motion controls IMO is just stupid for a turn based system, let alone one that uses the ATB.

PS3, 360 and DS are my choices.

We had this discussion like a week or two ago and I am pretty sure it came to an agreement that changing the battle system to suit motion controls would just be a disaster. Point and click for attack/magic/defend/etc... with ATB you will get hit more times that you can point and click.

This type of RPG just wouldn't work IMO without changing the combat system.

Like I said in the other thread, why would it need to use motion controls? The wii has buttons and a control stick. I'm sure the motion controls could be used for non-combat situations.

Then what is the point of a game on the Wii it is does not utilize what the system is about?

A game like FFVI deserves the best treatment it can get.

Well it most likely would go to the wii if the ds was discounted for the best sales, and low producting costs, but I already mentioned motion controls could be utilized in non-combat situations.

I may just have a different preference but IMO menu controls are not worth a remake on the Wii. From the sound of it, it would be the same as putting it on the PS2, minus the possible... menu pointing? Pointing and clicking on a space on the worldmap and watch your character walk in that direction to stop at that spot? Easier to just use the analog stick/D-pad.

Those 2 features I just mentioned also work easier on the DS because of the speed in which you could use a touchscreen as opposed to pointing at your TV screen and cliking where you wish to go or what you wish to do. Touch based controls could even work in combat because it is quick and easy. This is why DS would make ALOT more sense. At least all aspects of the game can utilize the systems potential.

JRPG's like this are slow moving enough as it is, don't need it any slower.

As a hardcore FFVI fanboy I would think many of the FFVI fanbase who grew up with the game as I did would agree on this.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
