People are holding back buying Switch to spend their money on an even more overpriced model than the prior one... oh boy...

Not really sure what you are implying. If you mean home console as in "you don't have to go to an arcade but can play in your own walls" then you are wrong because there are still Gameboy and Nintendo DS which sold more than Wii. If you mean home console as in "immovable console which is sitting under a TV" then you are wrong since Switch is a mobile console which just has a connection for a TV, like PSP had, like Nomad had, like every phone, tablet and laptop has.
