no, it REALLY isn't.
while something like, say, fire emblem was reaching near zelda level sales at least in the SNES days (and TBF zelda was never the A rank hitter in japan untill BOTW) metroid was... never sold well, even more so then in the west. if anything, sales DROPPED in japan after the transition to 3d...so dread should sell ok but not great as its a 2d metroid.
