This story is getting really old. There are more than enough examples of very successful 3rd party sales.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympics (probably singlehandedly will save Sega)
Sonic and the Secret Rings
Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition
Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles
Lego Star Wars
Red Steel
Rayman Raving Rabbids
Guitar Hero 3

And these are all million sellers. A game surely doesn't necessarily need to sell a million to be successful. Besides that we haven't seen a lot of major 3rd party games anyway. Not of the stature of MGS4 and GTA4.

1. Based on the last reports from Capcom RE is overtracked on this site.

2. Red steel was a launch game, and pretty much died off once other games came out.  I'm pretty sure the same is true for Raymen.

3. M&S cannot really be counted as third party, it stars Nintendo's biggest icon.  The sales would be very low if Nintendo never gave permission for their stars to be used in the game.  I have nothing to add for GH3 and the Lego game.

And i'm not saying Third Party games don't sell on the wii, or saying anything that supports any case that those those games are not selling very well on the system.

1. Still it's on Capcoms million sellers list and I didn't say it was more than that. Capcoms expectation was around 400.000. It blw that out of the water. Same for UC.

2. I wonder why these don't count, but yet Resistance (not even 3rd party) is hailed as a great seller. It doesn't really matter for the revenue of the publisher when it's launched, right?

3. Still most of the money goes to Sega, and that's what the whole debate is about: that 3rd parties indeed CAN make money on Wii.
