My kids wouldn't know how to download illegal software. I could see teenagers knowing but not kids (5 to 12 years old).

And if I caught my kids illegally downloading software there would be hell to pay.

Pirates need to stop justifying their actions and just accept they are breaking the law, full stop.

So you think that everyone that plays Switch is only 5-12? and trust me whatever about 2-9 year olds but you can bet your ass most 10 year olds and up know full well how to download a rom onto their phone to play pokemon lets not be silly here. And one more thing Emulators are not illegal so lets stop trowing around false shit.

I agree let us stop throwing around false shit.

Emulators programs aren't illegal but the pirated software is.  Emulator programs without illegal software is essentially worthless.  So yes, emulation is effectively illegal.  Stop justifying subpar morals and poor ethics.

The Deck being able to play nintendo games isn't going to put a dent in switch sales.  Most people are going to go the legal route to play nintendo games.  Many don't know how to install emulations.  Many have no idea where to go to download illegal games, which are required for the emulator to be of use.  And many aren't going that route because it is illegal and can result in significant fines.

So really the entire pirate argument is just plain stupid, and we both know it.

My point stands.  People buy hardware for the software.  As long as Nintendo releases great software the switch will continue to have its place in the market.
