I am worried this may become the norm from now on and that it will be impossible to get a Switch 2 for the first year or more of its life.

More needs to be done to stop preorder bots and other scalper tools.

The simple solution is to buy from brick and mortar retailers.  Scalpers can buy from there too, but it's not nearly as easy for them as buying online.  If brick and mortar retailers diminish or go away, then we'll be especially susceptible to scalpers.

I always buy my new games and consoles from brick and mortar stores, the only exception being when a few games came out during lockdown in the last 1 months. Even most brick and mortar stores seem completely sold out of 9th gen consoles though. I hope with Switch 2 I'll be able to put my name down for a preorder at my local EB Games or JB Hifi and get one that way without having to wait too long, I absolutely refuse to pay a scalper.

Xbox actually has some games coming out at retail now, like Flight Simulator next week. With enough Series X hardware sales and overall momentum we might actually see one chart in the Famitsu top 30. Maybe Halo?

When was the last time that happened, like 2009 or something?
