I don't mean to say they should be worried its just unusual for them to not have a huge game for the November/December period two years in a row, I'm guessing that it's likely due to New Horizon not hitting their preferred launch date and COVID probably delaying production of either Breath of the Wild or Splatoon 3 which were planned a few years ago to launch this fall.

1. They don't need them. At this point they have enough evergreens that as long as they have some decent AA games they will be fine each holiday period until Switch 2 comes out.

2. Wii U and 3ds both bombed out of the gate with pathetic launch titles. Switch had Botw and SM Odyssey within months of each other, within the first 7 months of Switch's life. Those are just the two biggest examples, but they in general had a lot more content for Switch launch window and had a lot more success because of it. Therefore, they are no doubt holding next ierations of certain games for Switch 2 if my prediction of Switch 2 coming out in 2023 is correct.
