So Krystal and Saagar left the Hill and started their own youtube channel. The quality of their content is as excellent as ever It really pays to be the writer of your own show and the owner of your critical thinking brain, something traditional TV pundits never had and still do not. If you liked their content before, you should subscribe to them, if you haven't heard of them before, you should give them a go!

Anyway, one of the baffling moments of 2020 elections was how JoRo endorsement of Bernie was met with disdain from a lot of lefties (including here) and I just didn't get it. How can one lump JoRo with right-wing pundits let alone far-right wing extremists? Making objectively laughable wrong statements about the guy? I think this segment in particular is the best defense JoRo has received and also explains why he's perceived falsely by many.

If you wish to grapple with the political consequences of pushing away Rogan, you also have to acknowledge the consequences of welcoming him. To welcome him to the left, you largely have to extend a hand to his brand of "anti-PC" bigotry. This is largely the antithesis of the social left, so I can't imagine what that would look like.

I'm personally not good with that. While Rogan is not a far-right extremist, he is an idiot with a lot of real bad, right wing takes and comments who often gives a platform to the far-right without sufficiently pushing back on them. He should not be welcomed as part of the left, and he should routinely be criticized for his routine idiocy. He doesn't deserve to be celebrated for having a take that isn't shit every once in a while.

I find it interesting that Krystal Ball doesn't even really try to grapple with this tradeoff, which largely makes the video worthless, imo.
