Film with the best CGI-free special effects

I'd say "The Fly" (1986) has the most impressive visual effects, followed by "Hellraiser" (1987) and "The Thing" (1982). The practical effects peaked in the 80's. I'm not a fan of CGI. You just see it's not real and then it's not believable.
