It's hard to gauge sales trajectory from only a few months of sales data, especially given the shortage-fueled demand that has yet to be fulfilled. What remains to be seen is if Sony can keep up this ridiculous demand for the PS5 for the next few years. Until then, I feel like it's hard to make any concrete predictions, but given the past trend of PS consoles, and the fact that the PS5 launch was generally successful, I'm going to take the average sales from the series and say 100-115 million this generation, with XS being around 60-75 million.
