Is Legacy content/backwards compatibility important for a console's success?

I don't care I don't have a "cause". It's my opinion having played both games and being a heavy player of Smash U. They games are nearly identical bar some DLC.

Once again opinion =/= facts. Smash Ultimate is a new game, that's not an opinion, that's just a straight fact.
