70 million dollars allowed him to use three years of hindsight to change his vision into a four-hour miniseries (which by itself requires a complete retooling of the story's structure and pacing) by filming additional scenes, re-shooting existing ones, revising the script, and overhauling the VFX.

You are certainly free to enjoy the final product, but this isn't anything close to his original vision.  It's not so much a restoration, but a do-over.

I completely agree.  I'd like to see his original script he was working with at the beginning and see how far off it was compared to this "Snyder Cut".  It'd also be funny to hear if Whedon followed Snyder's script more closely to Snyder's original vision than this Snyder Cut? loll

I read that that Future scene at the end was not originally part of his intended theater version and that was filmed just for this new version.  I wonder how many other new scenes he filmed that wasn't actually part of his "original vision".
