This is amazing the Switch momentum is still going like this well into 2021. Many people thought Switch sales were only historically high in 2020 due to the pandemic, and while I agree that the pandemic certainly was a big reason why it sold as well as it did, no way the effects from the pandemic one year ago is still keeping Switch sales this high literally 1 year after the lockdown started. While most other forms of entertainment such as Netflix and smartphones did see an initial pandemic boost in sales and subscriptions, after the first 2 months of lockdown many entertainment companies earnings and sales went back down to earth and in some cases down as its market reached a saturation point and people don't have as much money with unemployment. I find it difficult to believe the pandemic literally a year in is still the primary reason for switch sales. Animal Crossing and more evergreens are pushing switch sales to astronomical levels.

I actually originally thought that in February we'll begin to see the first noticeable decline from 2020 sales since I noticed the Switch was becoming more readily available in stores, making me think that demand has finally slowed down. But nope, seems like Nintendo just shipped one huge restock to stores and demand still isn't slowing down.
