Lol, no it's not. There are plenty of Pokemon I don't care about, but that doesn't mean that they should be snapped out of existence. You wanting content removed from the series for no reason other than you personally don't care for it is selfish. Me wanting previously made content to remain available so everyone can have their cake is not.

I hate Rosalina in Smash and will never willingly select her as a playable character. Doesn't mean that I want her erased from the series just because I don't find her appealing to use. However my thoughts on  her, she adds value to the game by making it more appealing to others.

I never said content should be "removed". All I said is I want Kanto Pokemon to stay Kanto Pokemon, for Johto Pokemon to stay Johto Pokemon and for whatever the new region's Pokemon are to stay native to that region. Some overlap, sure, but mostly I want new and interesting experiences. If previous region Pokemon are included alongside that region (eg. Kanto being included in Gold/Silver) then that would be great. I'm kind of disappointed they haven't done that since actually, gen 8 would have been a great time too, they could've included Kalos alongside Galar since France and England have a lot of history together, why not make the same true in the Poke-world?

You're contradicting yourself within the same paragraph, just like you contradicted yourself over the course of several posts earlier. I expect you to contradict yourself within the same sentence with your next post. Make up you mind, please. Either you want Pokemon locked to their region, or not.

Also, I find it weird that you associate "new and interesting experiences" solely with encountering Pokemon that didn't exist in a previous game. Because somehow, running into a Roggenrola in Gen 5 is new and interesting, even though it's nothing more than a Geodude clone. It's like any new actual gameplay changes and additions, new minigames, new mechanics and so on don't matter, all that matters is that you see another Geodude clone locked to its own region.

Besides, re-using assets isn't always going to be possible and I'd MUCH rather they focus on creating as many new Pokemon as possible for a generational leap than have to waste time and money recreating 900+ Pokemon in the new games. Even when they can re-use assets it still isn't as simple as just copy/pasting the old Pokemon into the new game.

To compare it to our world, are Pigeons interesting? No, because they're everywhere. Pigeons are boring. Are Pandas interesting? Yeah, people love Pandas, they're exciting because they're only found in 1 place. That's what I want with Pokemon too. It's especially relevant when you take into account the geography of the Pokemon world. Kanto and Johto are literally right next to each other, you can walk from one to the other, so those two having a lot of overlap in terms of Pokemon species makes a lot of sense. However places that are distant from each other and are made to look exotic because of that should have minimal if any overlap. Going to new exciting exotic locations is interesting to me, that's what I want to do in the games. Going to those locations and just finding Pidgeys, Ponytas & Oddish all over the place takes away all of that excitement.

Again, you say you love pandas because they're only found in one place (aka region), but at the same time you don't want to keep running into pandas all over the place in that region. You say it's not feasible for GF to create 900+ new assets for new games, but you somehow believe hundreds and hundreds truly new assets for brand new Pokemon is more feasible. Getting closer and closer to contradicting yourself within the same sentence.

And the argument over reusing assets not always being possible is moot right now, because we know that Sw/Sh reused assets. We can talk about how possible that is when GF makes a game that doesn't rely on any previous assets.

Demanding every single Pokemon every game IS selfish. Development resources are limited, so you're either asking them to spend extra time/money for free, or you're asking them to neglect other parts of the game because of your preferences.

Poor, poor GameFreak. I sure hope it can survive in these harsh times of only selling 15+ million copies of what might possibly be the largest entertainment franchise in the world. So many studios are ghosting out of here for failed projects. If only there were ways to better its output, like expanding its staff, getting help from other studios, spending more time in development, reusing existing assets (!), sticking to the same tried-and-true gameplay (!), adding in some of the roster well after lying and saying it wouldn't do so (!). Hopefully Nintendo would be willing to work with them so it can get more funding.
