Especially considering Sony is just coming off a year where they released Dreams, Ghost of Tsushima, The Last of Us 2, Spider-Man Miles Morales, Sackboy, Astro, and Demon's Souls. Then they're following it up with Ratchet and Clack, Returnal, Gran Turismo 7, Horizon Forbidden West and as far as we know God of War sequel as well. Nintendo releasing one or two games worth talking about a year seems unacceptably anemic. Even MS is doing more these days.

You both are acting like Nintendo are in the obligation to unveil their whole year schedule in one fell swoop. Which was obviously not gonna happen when they said it was a Direct mostly aimed at H1 2021 games.

You'll get the announcements for the 2nd half of this year later, simple as that.

Also, they'd never feel pressure by Sony's or Microsoft actions, there's no pressure for them to follow in their example.

What I don't understand is the strategy of announcing games for 2022 and ignoring games to be released for Q3 and Q4

Makes no sense imo. Well, for the Triangle Project game is ok because there is a demo and they want a feedback, it Splatoon 3 really the only next AAA game in the horizon?

They pretty much confirmed no BOTW2 for second half meaning there is still no big IP release for at least August.  I'm sure we will get an inevitable new Pokemon game announcement soo, but so far the stars are align of another very boring year for Nintendo games. Third and Second parties are hardcaring the system
