Obviously I know the mod was fan made and thus pretty rough around the edges while an actual game by the real developers would not be, a fantasy setting just doesn’t work for me in a game like this. I’d much rather have the historical setting. Besides, as far as fantasy goes I’m also not exactly invested in Warhammer (I barely know it exists and is a thing). |
This was a planned trilogy over a small amount of years. They are more like major expansions than brand new games. A Rome or Medieval 3 would be a much larger leap over their predecessors than Warhammer 3 will be to Warhammer 2 and than 2 was to 1 in terms of features and graphics.
I didn't think I'd be into the setting either when 1 came out, but boy was I wrong. 2 and the Mortal Empire campaign was truly epic. I am very excited for this game. Going back to just humans vs. human TW games has kind of been ruined for me haha. That being said, Medieval 3 is probably in my top 5 most wanted games for any company.
