The 360 wasn't dominant in the USA and only passed the Wii when the generation was already over and all consoles replaced. The Xbox One didn't finish far behind the PS4 in the USA despite severe beatings in other countries of the world. It was also far ahead of the Wii U, so its second place finish was never in danger. The chances that XBS finishes in second place in the USA this generation are reasonably good. Lastly, you owned a 3DS yourself. You should be able to tell that the 3DS and Switch don't belong to the same generation. |
I wasn't talking about consoles winning/belonging in certain generations are more in general about brands; right now both PS and Nintendo seem to have more swing in America than Xbox, unless XBS has managed to lead PS5 there while I wasn't looking.
