Should PS plus titles become permanent buys if you get the DLC for them?

Sure but as long as you're subscribed it doesn't make a difference if you own the game or you can only play it from the subscription.

You only benefit once your subscription runs out and at that point you are on the same level as someone who never subscribed. The new non-subscriber gets to own the game because he bought DLC for it but someone who never subscribed yet still bought the game's DLC (perhaps because it was on sale) doesn't?
