Would they still have sold out at $499 and $599 instead? Could they have kept up similar sales at those prices until a drop to $399 and $499 holiday 2021? If so, would they have produced more units for the 2020 holiday launch period overall, considering they would've been profiting off of every unit sold instead of subsidizing?
