Cimay great would actually be a tough call between that and Three Philosophers for me. My guess most people would probably prefer Cimay but I never had a chance to do a side by side taste test as Cimay really hard to find around me. I already have to drive a hour away to find ABT 12 or Three Philosophers. Got a 100 liquor stores within 15min from me but none of them will stock any of the Belgian or Dutch beers I like. For me personally nothing beats St Bernardus ABT 12. Kwak I personally was not impress with but Tripel Karmeliet made by same brewery as Kwak is extremely good I thought. EDIT: just to be clear I thought Kwak 1000 times better then blue moon or any of the other typical beers I find around me, I just mean compare to the other top beers out there I was not impressed. |
Sounds good. I'll have to order ABT 12 online, I don't think I've ever seen it on the shelf before but I have heard of it. Ommegang ain't even available to order online, but I trust its good.
Chimay I actually get on a monthly basis. My local stocks the usual Belgian beers.
Good to see some more Belgian beer fans. La Couffe is fantastic.
