It's only pretentiousness, they know that fanboys will validate their poor excuse. It's been so long since the infamous no blood version and yet people still push this nowadays for confirmation bias.
Did they forgot the mortal kombat trilogy on N64 with no censorship at all? Or the others MK games on nintendo platforms afterwards? Or the many others games with gore or/and sexual contents that made the cut for nintendo systems?
