Actually, it doesn't really because Sony will have a heckava long time to decide to make their own move well before the Christmas season starts. Sometimes, I almost wonder if Sony and M$ did a "gentlemen's agreement" to drop the price of both consoles by $50 to try to slow down the Wii some....
OT: I don't know if it will "smash" the 360, but I expect it to significantly outsell it. Wait till E3 to guage the amount of pwnage.
Not trying to be a fanboy. Of course, it's hard when you own the best console eve... dang it
