Well, it is expected. Risk is growing higher and returns are getting worse, so it's likely a good deal for both, MS and the shareholders of The purchased companies. I would say that there are studios that would be shut down if MS would not purchase them. Also, as you all have Windows on your PC anyway, you get the games for Windows.
