I'm hard pressed to think of an Ubisoft game that doesn't have multiple difficulty settings. I'm guessing they put it on easy for IGN to play, alot of IGN's journalists aren't very good at games. 

It's been confirmed and even shown in some of the gameplay previews that the games has multiple difficulty settings, basically Story/Easy/Medium/Hard/Expert.
