If Xbox Series S is 100$ cheaper than PS5 All-Digital, does Xbox have a legitimate chance of outselling PS5 this gen?

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying the Xbox Series X CAN'T do it, just that nothing in the last generation and a half indicates to me that this is likely at all. If price was as much of a factor as you say it is, it would have been a factor this entire last gen. 

When was Xbox one 100 dollars cheaper than PS4? PS4 was cheaper at the very beginning and caused a snowball effect. Once someone buys a PS4 or Xbox one, it's hard to justify buying another console that plays 95% of the same games.

I regularly saw it 100-150 below here in Canada - and keep in mind this was back when CAD and USD were on par with one another. Just because you didn't see it doesn't mean it didn't happen.
