If you care about hardware why even bother with consoles anyways. Also the question of hardware return is going to be more important this gen.
Many AA devs are having difficulty managing PS4 hardware or actually utilizing its by now little power. Take Atlus, NIS and Temco Koei for example even late in the life cycle of the PS4 they can barely make games that look much better than the average Switch game on PS4.
Next gen even more AA devs will not be able to really use much of the 20 TF monsters that you can build in 2021/2022 for € 600,-. It will simply be to expensive to really make use of all the power that high end pc's have for AA devs. Which sell like 1-2 million units or less.
As for AAA games those will definitely look much better on pc's with 20 TF which you can build for € 600 in 2021 or 2022. Although even pc will hit a point of diminishing return at one point. How much better will games look on the lets say 80 TF pc's that can be build in 2030 compared to the 10 or 30 TFLOP console counter parts assuming their is a midgen upgrade.
Specs wise the PC is much much better, but what does it give in return. The PS4 pro is much more powerful than PS4 vanilla (GPU at least) , but how often does it really show that.
Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar
