Well, as I wrote to KLA Marine a few pages ago (direct link), I've reached the conclusion in my replays that the ending of The Last of Us Part II is actually a hopeful one if you pay attention to the details. At least that's how I interpret it anyway. Concerning your preference that this game should've either been a Jackson community-building title or written by Steven Spielberg...well at least you got half your wish with all the Jurassic Park and Lost World references and allusions both at the museum and in the auto chase scene (allusion to the Lost World arcade game). It's kind of like Steven Spielberg was involved. |
Hahaha brilliant.

But anyway, for all those who see better things on the second than the first, I just have to say that I couldn't disagree more. The disagreement is so strong that makes it impossible to debate. For me seeing more light on this game than the first is just completely bonkers.
Kotaku reviewer just nailed it when they called it misery simulator. I'll stick to that and it's final. I'll never replay this game, I'll resell it instead.
God bless You.
