The latest we've heard of Metroid Prime 4 is during Kensuke Tanabe's Paper Mario interview. In it, he mentioned that Nintendo's design philosophy has casual players in mind. He gave the example of the Metroid Prime series as something that looks like it's only for core gamers at a glance, but has beginner friendly elements.

Do you agree? Do you think Metroid Prime 4 should be more casual friendly? How so? Discuss.

At 1st glance i thought that was a dumb and scary quote, but there is 1 major mechanic that is admittedly casual friendly: the lock on button. Its in every prime game.and in all honesty i prefer it to twin stick for this particular series. So if thats what hes talking about, my fears are quelled.
