I would be ok with it, if it was more of a reworking than a simple HD conversion with basic QoL improvements like toning down tutorials, more responsive controls, faster text and the like.

Skyward Sword is a game with interesting ideas, a good spark of originality and some great dungeons, but it feels like a tedious game a lot of the times.

The major problem for me are the 2 of the 3 main areas, SS isn't any less linear than most Zelda titles, but its linearity isn't compensated by interesting new ideas and areas besides Lanayru Desert, you go to this place 3 times, but every time a new area opens for you, with increasingly inventive use of time stones. This is something that Eldin and Farone lack, they feel too stagnant compared to Lanayru, the backtracking is worse there because you don't feel like you get to explore more of these lands, but rather be stuck in a single place, if they were to add more land to the other areas, it would significantly improve the experience for me.

Better pacing of the Imprisoned, fighting the thing 3 fights is grating enough, but the pacing of these fights makes it worse, the last two being too close to each other if you pretend to tackle the areas in the same order you been doing so to not feel as repetitive, there is plenty of lenght to pace these fights better.

The Sky itself could use more activities and islands, if it won't match the sense of discovery and adventure of the Wind Waker's Great Sea, at the very least it could be filled with more meaningful content.

Fi seemed like a big missed opportunity of a character, specifically because the end of the game makes it clear that there should have been a character arc behind her, but it just never happens besides one text box in the main game from what I remember, rewriting part of her text to give her a sense of progression to her would make her conclusion far more satisfying than it is now.

Motion control gimmicks is something I pretty tolerant towards, so changing or not the main gameplay is not a bother to me, but the rest is something that would make me see SS in a much more positive light. As it stands is still a good Zelda game still for me, went as far as 100% the game, but is one that is frustrating to think about a lot of its flaws.
