But I said so much more than that. You are an expert at oversimplifying things, especially when it serves your purpose.

Look at that, I’m curious what you think. The top 3 rows (15 games) are all from Xbox Studios. That’s not even all the games they have cooking and only what’s official. Tell me when Xbox ever had 15 games in development...I’ll wait. You don’t have to be a business insider to see next gen won’t repeat the same mistakes of Xbox One, nor the late gen game droughts of 360.

Then you have the timed exclusives, and let’s be honest if PS fans can brag about FF7 timed then we can do the same.

Then you have the fact that all 24 games on that picture....again TWENTY FOUR, are all DAY 1 GamePass. I can’t stress enough how insane that value is. For GP Ultimate you merely need to play 3 full priced games a year to break even. Please let that sink in how pro consumer this is. How this is a major selling point compared to PS. How even if you prefer PS to Xbox you will be paying more and playing less then me using GP. Please stop and consider that.

Cant stress enough how Xbox has never been in this position regarding games and value to gamers. Never.

IF people actually cared about GamePass for Xbox, the Xbox One would be selling FAR better than it is. I'm not saying it's not a good deal - it totally is - but being on GamePass isn't really a selling point if we're being honest. Especially not when you can get it on PC.

And fine, we'll go through that list of games and talk about how much hype each one has:

Halo Infinite - the gameplay demo seems to have done more harm than good.

Everwild - All we know is how it looks and who made it. Too early to tell if it's actually good.

Avowed - All we know is how it looks and who made it. Too early to tell if it's actually good.

Fable - All we know is how it looks and who made it. Too early to tell if it's actually good.

Senua's Saga - All we know is how it looks and who made it. Too early to tell if it's actually good, though the last game was quite good.

State of Decay 3 - All we know is how it looks and who made it. Too early to tell if it's actually good.

Forza Motorsport - All we know is how it looks and who made it. Too early to tell if it's actually good, though the rest of the franchise is good

Psychonauts 2 - This actually looks good and we have a good idea what it'll be like! I am excited to play this on PC!

Grounded - This also looks really good, I won't lie. This is 2 points so far to the entire list.

Battletoads - Honestly looks bad and hasn't been heard from in a little over a year now. Not good PR for such a simple game.

Age of Empires IV - Cool! I guess? I Can't really comment on this one other than...hey, it's another Age of Empires.

Wasteland 3 - N/A (I don't know enough about it to comment, but the fact that it's got almost no hype does not help)

Tell me Why - All we know is how it looks and who made it. Too early to tell if it's actually good.

Dusk Falls - All we know is how it looks and who made it. Too early to tell if it's actually good.

Microsoft Flight Simulator - Yep it's a flight sim! I'm sure it'll be great but the audience is quite small.

Medium - All we know is how it looks and who made it. Too early to tell if it's actually good. (Honestly, I have high hopes for this one, looks interesting)

The Gunk - Still too early to tell if it looks good or not. All we got was a cinematic trailer and a very rudimentary bit of gameplay.

STALKER 2 - Again, looks fine but super generic. No gameplay, no way to tell if it'll be good or not.

Tetris - Dude, it's on PS4 already. Xbox is just getting the enhanced version sooner. this does NOT count as an exclusive.

Scorn - Looks alright, might be the most interesting and most fleshed out game on this list so far since we know how it plays.

Call of the Sea - HOnestly, I'm shocked more people aren't talking about this one. It's one of the only games on the list to have any demonstrative gameplay.

Warhammer DarkTide - All we know is how it looks and who made it. Too early to tell if it's actually good, though WH40K games are usually decent.

Dragon Quest XI - not an exclusive, doesn't count (It's even on the switch, dude)

Destiny 2 - This gets as much love as the GTAV announcement at the Sony Conference.

So yeah, big list of games and all, but almost none of them have any hype, only a handful of them have any gameplay, and most of them are in this nebulous phase of 'All we know is how it looks and who made it. Too early to tell if it's actually good'. You can spout all your nonsense about how strong Xbox's game lineup is all you want up and down the backside 'til the cows come home, but they've been saying the same thing year after year after year after year since 2013 and they've never delivered. Again, I'd love to be wrong, but I pretty much guarantee 2/3 of these will be nonstarters or get lost in the sea of games out there. There's very little special in any of these, which makes me sad because I'm sure lots of people worked so very hard to make them.

Nobody needs to brag about Final Fantasy's Timed Exclusive status, because in the end it doesn't matter. Sony has always had a strong first and third party exclusive lineup, why do you think they don't give a shit about giving up stuff like Death Stranding and Horizon Zero Dawn to the PC crowd? They have nothing to lose and everything to gain by expanding their audience. Sony do it after releasing on PS4 to give their console value, Microsoft release all their stuff on PC becuase it's the only way to get people to buy them.

And I don't give a shit about gamepass. I don't care that you'll be playing games and paying less, because I actually care about physical media. I care about collectors editions. I care about having a collection and building a bunch of shit. I still buy movies and TV shows despite having Netflix and Disney+ because those streaming services are great for convenience but mean nothing to me when it comes to pride. I get that many people don't care about that stuff anymore, but I do and that's why Gamepass means nothing to me. All it is to me is an anchor to either a console I don't want to play or a PC that I can't afford to upgrade. And like I said, Gamepass is a great bargain deal, but it clearly doesn't mean as much as you think to enough people to make the Xbox a success.

Microsoft really should just go either streaming or third party. Imagine how fucking great it would be if you could get GamePass on PS4! Imagine a world where instead of having to buy a console with no real value, you just play on the console you already have! If Microsoft studios went third party and backed out of the console war, everybody wins. Sony and Playstation players win becuase there would be more games on their systems, Nintendo and their fanbase wins because there would be more games on their systems, PC gamers win because they continue to get a little bit of everything, and Microsoft would win because they'd get all the benefits of selling their games without any of the costs of having to manufacture and market their own console. It's a winning situation for everyone.

I still would only play a handful of their games, but it'd be a win for everyone. as it stands, even you don't seem to think there's any value in the actual Xbox, it's all about Gamepass to you.
