Final Fantasy VII Remake won in April, March, February, not January when Zelda won, but it won again in December and November, and I haven't looked before. As I said, it's how many people vote and also the game that matters.
In that case, 7 of the first 10 games shouldn't be on the list because only Paper Mario, Ghost of Tsushima and Cyberpunk 2077 have release dates. |

I don't have a solution to suggest, I don't know if limiting time is the answer.
We know that non-nintendo games obviously won many times, but having zelda sitting on top 3 for the next 3 years while many other good games are released is kinda silly. Perhaps there's no workaround, we just have to deal with zelda buyers, but it's annoying to see games like Cyberpunk that are complete products competing with long in the future Nintendo games (that's not the first time).
