Say what you will about Yoshi's Story's gameplay, but as an art-style, it is one of the most underrated games around. Not to mention that at its particular time in history it was arguably the best looking 2D platformer ever made.

It's the game that gave rise to the art style used in Paper Mario, Kirby's Epic Yarn, and all Yoshi games to follow.

While I hated the game itself, its artstyle was something that really left an impression on me.

Yeah while I also hate the game itself, (level design was blah and it had half as many stages as it's predecessor) it sure was pretty for its time. There were very few 2D games on the N64 so its one of few examples of how those kind of games could look on the system.

Also, glad to see Crafted World getting some love, it's definitely one of the prettiest games on Switch.
