You only get the 'hero' thing for the first half of the game but I see. If that's what people wanted and they couldn't decide or wanted it to be clear then that's fair criticism. 

I really didn't want to play as the 'antagonist' and wondered and hoped it wouldn't be reliving the entire 3 days from her perspective, but as it went on I had a good time with her and my searing hatred for the character (good hatred) went down some.

Yeah, it was a bit uncomfortable at first, but I learned to like Abby. I understand why people dont like her. Ellie was trained by a great guy while Abby was trained by a ruthless dictator pretty much.
