The first 10 days of the game are more like a tutorial. You learn the basic mechanics and take a few quests. After you advance in the game you will realize some activities will become far less demanding.  

Co-OP and customization are the game strongest points imo. Co-OP will works better if you have an active community to help you  exchanging, cataloging, watering flowers, wishing to shooting stars, taking repeated DIY recipes, talking to random NPCs (Celeste, Redd) etc

Customization comes with full force only 50 to 60 hours after you start the game. That's when you will unblock app design to terraform your island. At this point you will also have a nice share of items and recipes, so you can start exploring you creativity 

You aren't very gregarious and are not into customization games then maybe New Horizons is just not for you
